You might asume reading many of the posts here that I am simply an anti-Obama right-wing ideolog, I assure you, that is not the case. I was in nearly total disagreement, and outrage (and remain so)at almost every policy of the George W. Bush's administration, as I am with the current administration, only for vastly different reasons! It's not an either/or situation. Until the unveiling of the Obama situation (who STILL seems to be in campaign mode over a year later) I considered president George W.Bush the worst president in our history! The fact that we now have an EVEN WORSE administration (My God, is that possibe?!)eating away at our liberties from the other end of the political spectrum, leads me to one inescapable conclusion: this nation is now accursed from God and is now bound for judgment! There was I time when I truly believe we were granted Divine favor, but now that we (as a nation) have chosen to turn our backs on God, God is now turning His back on us. We've had it. We're toast.

China was and remains the greatest threat to US security. The idiots in our government and yes, EVEN IN OUR MILITARY who ASSUME that we have won China over simply because they are using OUR CAPALIST SYSTEM to get rich, are just that- idiots! China simply recognized the fact that their communistic economy dosen't really work and are simply being pragmatic and taking the most sucessful stategy ever devised for triumph- "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" They still hate us just as much as they ever did, they still resent us just as much as they ever did and just as soon as they feel they are capable of attacking us and overcoming us and destroying us, they will. We are the only nation stupid enough to insist on making our enemies rich. We (I say "we" not me) made a decision to buy foreign-made automobiles and other goods in the 70's in a big way. I was against the trend from the very beginning. The American consumer made a decision long ago to patronize mega-size US corporations who exported millions of American jobs and killed our competivness worldwide, for the sake of convieniance. Not only did we NOT place any restrictions on these multinationals, we gave them incentives! Communication media, retail, agricultural and other sectors and all been pretty much swallowed up by by conglomorates like WalMart, etc. As much as I love this country, I swear, we might be the biggest dumbasses in the history of the world.

The Democratic health-care bill is using double-counting bookeeping in order to claim that it will actually save money. Sorta the same method they are using to claim that the stimulus bill is "saving/or creating" thousands of jobs. First of all,there is nearly 1/2 TRILLION that will simply be taken out of Medicare and supposedly used to fund this bill. In addition to shortfall and another 522 BILLION losses that are NOT BEING FACTORED IN from social security and other programs.

DON'T CALIFORNICATE OREGON
Back in the day we used to say; "Don't Californicate Oregon". Well, in my opinion, we need to say it again. This morning, I made the prediction on "The Jefferson Exchange" call-in program on OPB, that by the end of 2011 the state of California will be after Oregon water. It's been done before. The gist of the discussion was policy concerning many Klamath Basin area dams. Some are calling for the closing of many of these dams for ecological and other reasons. Previously, both hydro-electrically produced power and Oregon water have been diverted to keep both California and even Las Vegas running. My prediction is; that if we as Oregonians don't take a strong stance as to our own waterways rights, they will be sold off to the highest bidder to the detriment of our state. It's funny how when resources become tight, ( California in is a fiscal and water resource crisis right now) state and yes, even national boundaries tend to become violated and non exsistant. Everybody (including the Federal govt.) is gona want to have a piece of us. We gotta head them off at the pass. -Steve
